Visas to be given to Pakistani team and fans: Written assurance from India to ICC.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has issued a written assurance on the Pakistan Cricket Board's concerns over the International Cricket Council (ICC) T20 World Cup.

The ICC T20 World Cup is scheduled in India in October this year, on which Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Ehsan Mani had written a letter to the ICC last month expressing reservations.

The letter said that if the Indian Cricket Board does not facilitate visas for the Pakistani team, media, and spectators and does not provide written assurances, the tournament should be shifted to the United Arab Emirates.

However, now, according to the Indian website, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has written to the ICC assuring it that cricket fans, media persons, team, and related management coming from Pakistan in October and November Will be issued a visa with all facilities.

The website says the Pakistan Cricket Board's concerns will also be discussed at a meeting of the ICC Executive Board on March 31 and April 1.

It may be recalled that the bilateral series between Pakistan and India has not been played since 2012 due to political reasons, while the last time the Pakistan team visited India for the ICC World Twenty20 was in 2016.
