Afghanistan's league spinner Rashid Khan has set a unique record for bowling the most overs in a Test match in the 21st century. Rashid Khan, 22, bowled 99.2 overs in the second Test between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium. Earlier, legendary league spinner Shane Warn had bowled 98 overs in the second Test against South Africa in Cape Town, New Zealand, in 2002, 19 years ago.

Afghanistan defeated Zimbabwe by 6 wickets in the second Test to tie the two-match series at 1-1. The Afghan team achieved the 108-run target set by Zimbabwe on the last day of the Test match at a loss of 4 wickets. 

League spinner Rashid Khan took a total of 11 wickets in the match, Hashmatullah Shahidi was declared the best player of the match for scoring a magnificent double century.

Earlier, Afghanistan declared their first innings at 545 for four. Zimbabwe was bowled out for a big score in the first innings. In the second innings, Zimbabwe's 7 wickets fell to 142 runs, which gave Afghanistan the chances of victory in the innings, on such an occasion, Sean Williams and Trypano formed a brilliant partnership. Zimbabwe's entire team returned to the pavilion for 365 runs. The highlight of Zimbabwe's innings was an unbeaten 151 by skipper Sean Williams, who put on a fine 187-run stand with Trypano for the eighth wicket but could not save his team from defeat.
