Mohammad Shami is still disappointed after the crushing defeat in the final

Mohammad Shami has expressed his disappointment after losing to Australia at home ground in the ICC World Cup 2023.

After the humiliating defeat in the World Cup final against Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Mohammad Shami expressed his disappointment and said that he wished we had scored 300 runs.

Fast bowler Muhammad Shami said on the poor performance of the team that if our team had scored 300 runs, we would have successfully defended, we did not have many runs.

"But I don't think it's right to blame one thing, we have to see where we stand as a team, as a unit we all have to work on it," Mohammad Shami said.

It should be noted that Australia had easily defeated India on its soil in the final of the ICC event. The Kangaroos left the Indian batsmen and bowlers unscathed in the final and outclassed them in all areas to win the trophy for a record sixth time.

Even after losing in the final, the World Cup was special for Mohammad Shami, he took the most wickets in the ICC Cricket World Cup with 24 wickets.
