Pakistan cricket team's tour schedule for West Indies has been released. According to a PCB spokesperson, the Pakistan team will tour the West Indies from July 21 to August 24.

The tour will feature five T20 matches and two Test matches in view of the T20 World Cup in September-October this year. One Test in the series has been reduced to two T20 matches.

The 5 T20 matches will be played in two venues Barbados and Guyana, the 2 T20 matches in Barbados on July 27 and 28, and the remaining 3 T20 matches in Guyana on July 31, August 1, and August 3. 

The two-day practice match before the Test series between the two teams will take place in Guyana, while the first Test in Jamaica will start on August 12 and the second on August 20.

It may be recalled that Pakistan last visited the West Indies in 2017 where they achieved success in all formats. The national team won the T20 series 1-3 on the tour, 1-2 in the ODI series, and won its first Test series 1-2 in 59 years on Caribbean soil.

It was the last international series of the current head coach of the national team Misbah-ul-Haq and batting coach Younis Khan who played 276 and 408 international matches respectively during his career.

The two-day practice match before the Test series will be played in Guyana from August 6, the first Test in Jamaica on August 12, and the second Test on August 20.

PCB chief executive Wasim Khan said that the tour of the national cricket team to the West Indies was of great importance.

Aug 3 – 5th T20I, Guyana National Stadium, Guyana

Aug 6-7 – Two-day practice match, Guyana

Aug 12-16 – 1st Test, Sabina Park, Jamaica

Aug 20-24 – 2nd Test, Sabina Park, Jamaica
