In the match being played at Centurion, the South African captain decided to field first after winning the toss.

Imam-ul-Haq and Fakhr Zaman started the innings for Pakistan and both the players gave the team a brilliant start of 112 runs. Imam-ul-Haq was dismissed for 57 runs on a total of 112 runs.

After the dismissal of Imam-ul-Haq, Fakhr Zaman along with captain Babar Azam led the team's score and completed his century. His innings included 3 sixes and 9 fours. Fakhr Zaman scored 101 runs and was caught by Maharaj.

Former captain Sarfraz Ahmed has also been included in the playing XI in the decisive match against the Proteas, while league spinner Usman Qadir is making his ODI debut today.

The national team also includes Fakhr Zaman, Imam-ul-Haq, Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Mohammad Nawaz, Fahim Ashraf, Hassan Ali, Shahid Afridi, and Haris Rauf.

Young batsman Danish Aziz, middle-order batsman Asif, and fast bowler Mohammad Hasnain have been rested while Shadab Khan has been ruled out of the series due to injury.

It may be recalled that in the first ODI, Pakistan defeated South Africa by three wickets while in the second match, South Africa defeated Pakistan and drew the series.

In the second ODI, Fakhr Zaman batted brilliantly for Pakistan and played an innings of 193 runs but was run out in the last over.
