Pakistan Cricket Board announces national squad for series against South Africa and Zimbabwe.
Announcing the ODI and T20 squad for the tour of South Africa, the Pakistan Cricket Board said that Pakistan's T20 and ODI squad will consist of 18 players while the national Test squad for the two-Test matches against Zimbabwe Contains 20 players.
Chief selector national team Muhammad Waseem said that Pakistan has to play a series of three ODIs and four T20 matches against South Africa for which they are announcing the team in consultation with the captain and coach.
Muhammad Waseem said that they are giving a chance to the players keeping in mind the upcoming World Cup. The fact that the players are not included does not mean that they are not included in the plan.
ODI SQUAD:
Mohammad Waseem said that Babar Azam (Captain), Shadab Khan(Vice-Captain), Abdullah Shafiq, Danish Aziz, Fahim Ashraf, Fakhr Zaman, Haider Ali, Haris Rauf, Hassan Ali, Imam-ul-Haq, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad were in the ODI team. Rizwan, Muhammad Wasim Jr., Sarfraz Ahmed, Saud Shakeel, Shaheen Afridi, and Usman Qadir.
T20 SQUAD:
The national T20 squad includes Babar Azam(Captain), Shadab Khan(Vice-Captain), Arshad Iqbal, Asif Ali, Danish Aziz, Fahim Ashraf, Haider Ali, Haris Rauf, Hassan Ali, Mohammad Hafeez, and Mohammad Hasnain.
Besides, Mohammad Rizwan, Mohammad Wasim Jr., Sarfraz Ahmed, Shaheen Afridi, Sharjeel Khan, Usman Qadir, and Mohammad Nawaz will also be part of the T20 squad.
TEST SQUAD:
The national team is also scheduled to play a two-Test series against Zimbabwe for which Babar Azam will represent Pakistan.
Other players include Abdullah Shafiq, Abid Ali, Azhar Ali, Fawad Alam, Imran Butt, Salman Ali Agha, Saud Shakeel, Fahim Ashraf, Muhammad Nawaz, Muhammad Rizwan, Sarfraz Ahmed, Haris Rauf, Hassan Ali, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shahnawaz Dahani, Tabish Khan, Noman Ali, Sajid Khan and Zahid Mahmood.
The national cricket team will leave for South Africa on March 27 on a special charter flight.
