Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli became the first batsman to score 3,000 runs in T20 Internationals.

Kohli crossed this milestone in the T20 match against England in Ahmedabad.

Remember that this was the 87th match of the Indian captain in which he crossed the figure of 3,000.

Kohli is followed by New Zealand's Martin Guptill who has scored 2839 runs in 99 matches while his compatriot Rohit Sharma is at the third position who has scored 2773 runs in 109 matches.

It should be noted that Kohli has scored 311 runs in 87 matches at an average of 50.86 and so far his average is more than 50 in all three formats of cricket.
