A district court in Lahore, the capital of Pakistan's Punjab province, has ordered the filing of a case against national cricketer Babar Azam under the provisions of blackmailing and harassing a woman.

The court passed the order on the report of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in which the FIA ​​in its preliminary inquiry had declared Babar Azam as an accused.
Hamiza Mukhtar, a female citizen, had filed a petition in the court alleging that the national cricketer had harassed her.

According to the report presented in the court, the FIA ​​investigated the mobile numbers from which the alleged threats were made.
The FIA ​​told the court that a notice was issued to the woman and her statement was recorded.

The numbers he identified were in the names of Maryam Ahmed, Muhammad Babar, and Saleema Bibi. Despite repeated notices being issued to the registered owners of these mobile numbers, they did not appear, while Babar Azam's brother Faisal Azam appeared before the FIA ​​and asked for time, which was granted. Babar Azam did not record his statement. ‘

The FIA ​​told the court that Babar Azam was guilty in the case. While Saleema Bibi also did not appear before the FIA ​​despite receiving repeated notices. While Maryam Ahmed refused to recognize the plaintiff Hamiza Mukhtar and also refused to send any kind of nasty messages. However, when asked to give his mobile phone to the forensic, he refused.
The Additional Sessions Judge, after hearing the FIA's arguments, ordered that a case be registered against those responsible.

It may be recalled that Hamiza Mukhtar has been blaming Babar Azam for several months and she has held several press conferences in this regard and has also applied to the FIA ​​for registration of the case. However, the case was not registered after which he approached the court.
The court had sought a report from the FIA ​​in this regard. The FIA ​​has found Babar Azam guilty in its inquiry report.
